The Head and the Grail

A Quest through the Symbols of Arthurian Romance

starts Sunday, 23 November, 7pm UK Time

A structured 4‑week journey exploring the symbolic meaning of Brân’s head, the cauldron of plenty, and the Fisher‑King.

During the weekly live sessions we will track how the Welsh (and possibly Breton) stories concerning Bendigeidfran influenced the Arthurian Romances, and measure how much the later French stories preserved the meaning of these earlier Celtic myths.

We will use comparative interpretation to map out what this tells us about the medieval Grail traditions and reflect on what they reveal about the earlier cauldron and severed head of Brân.

We will discuss the philosophical takeaways on sovereignty, accountability, abundance with discernment, and how public rites repair honour.

You will learn transferable research methods for close reading and symbolic mapping that you can reuse across other Celtic and Arthurian materials.
